Homeware from Lakeland makers

It goes without saying that we not only love living in the Lakes but are very proud of our part of the world so we thought we'd put you face to face with Makers from this part of the world that we are delighted to stock in our shop and online.

Alicja of Upland Clay based near Penrith makes beautiful handmade ceramics. We first came across her work at the Borrowdale YHA when we stayed there for a weekend hiking (we highly recommend a visit to this hostel). Alicja's individual style is distinct and very personal and having visited her studio you're aware of not only the care and skill of the potter but also the individual nature of each product. 

We stock a lovely family of products produced by Sugar Shed based in Carnforth. Their products are mainly derived from wood which is primarily sourced from within the Lake District itself. We stock a series of Lake District map products from fridge magnets and coasters through to table mats and delightful wooden postcards.

Herdy has become a firm favourite with many locals and visitors to the Lakes and we are very proud to be part of the Herdy family stocking a variety of products which of course, you can view on our website. There's no limit to the fans, from toddlers to mature, it carries a smile inducing appeal which we love.

Blade and Rose have been part of our baby and toddler range for several years and has become a firm favourite with mums and grandparents, with its confident and bright style. Blade and Rose are based in Kendal and we stock a wide variety of their range and without doubt, it's fair to say a tractor and a Highland Cow are still very much popular themes!

And lest we forget, we shouldn't forget The Northern Line! Obviously we have our wide range of posters which includes a healthy portfolio of Lakes themed work, but in addition we also produce our own mugs and kitchenware with the product line set to expand during 2022.
