Art of Kitchenware from a Guy Called Kate

Art of Kitchenware from a Guy Called Kate

We've recently started stocking a delightful range of kitchenware including tea towels and oven gloves from Kate Guy, a printmaker based in Camden, London.

She has produced a stunning range of lino cut menu based designs. Kate's a lover of food and cooking which has proved to be an inspiration.

"I illustrate classic recipes using my unique lino cut ingredients. I have created a whole store cupboard of blocks, each one an ingredient. I combine these in one print to create the recipes. I make the original prints which I also colour by hand. I then have these screen printed onto organic cotton textiles."

The Northern Line has a selection which includes Lancashire Hot Pot, Yorkshire Steak & Ale Pie and Tomato Soup and we also have these available as greeting cards, with each one incorporating the menu on the reverse.

We're not exclusive to working with small independents but it is always a pleasure to know the artist or the supplier and understand the care and attention to detail that goes into their products. Kate has a lovely distinctive style that dovetails perfectly with these household delights.
